Swami Nischalananda Saraswati was born on 30 June 1943 (Age: 80 years old; As of 2024) as Neelambar Jha in Haripur Bakshi Tol, Madhubani, Bihar, North India.

He completed his primary education at a local primary school in Sciences, Vedic Mathematics, and Sanskrit in his village Kaluahi and Loha. Swami Nischalananda Saraswati was born on 30 June 1943 (Age: 80 years old; As of 2024) as Neelambar Jha in Haripur Bakshi Tol, Madhubani, Bihar, India. He grew up with his parents and his siblings. He is the son of Raj Pandita of Maharaja of Darabhanga. His parents were a priest. His father’s name was Pandit Sri Lalvamshijha and his mother’s name was Smt. Gita Devi.
His father was a high-ranking scholar of Sanskrit in the Mithila tradition and was a court vidwan of the then king of Mithila (Darbhanga Kingdom). His name was in childhood “Nilambar”. This name was given by his elder brother Pandit Sridev Jha.

Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Career
He began his pilgrimage to several famous holy places in India in 1970. He wanted real knowledge about life, culture, religious beliefs, and other problems of life. He became famous publicly as a ‘Nischalananda Saraswati’ in 1974. He is also a scholar who knows Sciences, Vedas, Mathematics, and Upanishads and has studied ancient texts of India.
