Champat Rai Career

He was influenced by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in his childhood age. He also joined the RSS. He worked as a pracharak of RSS from a young age. Champat Rai started working hard to propagate the thoughts of the Sangh and began work as a campaigner for the organization. He was a professor as a profession. He worked as a professor of Chemistry in Dhampur’s Ashram Degree College ( RSM Degree College) in Dahampur, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, India.

As per his family members, he participated during the Emergency in 1977 in the case of the Ramjanmabhoomi movement. He was arrested by the police and sent to jail. He was kept in jails for about 1.5 years in different districts of the state. After that, he joined the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in 1980 and began work to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya with the help of Vishwa Hindu Parishad members.

Champat Rai’s Contribution to Ram Janmabhoomi

Champat Rai as a Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s International vice president has been the advocate and party in the Ram temple case in the Supreme Court. He arranged the important evidence in favor of Ram Janmabhoomi and presented it in the court. As per his work, it has been decided by the Trust of Ram Mandir to make Champat Rai the general secretary of the trust.

Rai declared the grand ceremony of Ram Lala Pran Pratistha on 22nd January 2024. He is also involved in the construction of Ayodhya Ram Temple as general secretary of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

As per the ANI: The SP leader met with Rai to refrain from politicising his visit on Thursday, 11th January 2024. SP leader said that he wrote to the Assembly Speaker to allow MLAs with genuine faith in Lord Ram to attend the grand consecration ceremony. The Shankaracharya of the north peeth Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, called for the removal of Champat Rai from the post of General Secretary on Wednesday.
