Lakshmi Gowda Wiki, Age, Height, Net Worth 2026

Lakshmi Gowda is a 24-year-old IT professional from Mandya, Karnataka, who became one of the most talked-about new faces on Kannada television when she entered Bigg Boss Kannada 13 as a wildcard contestant in October 2026. A social media influencer and model who also harbours acting ambitions, Lakshmi spent years dreaming of becoming a Bigg Boss contestant before earning her way into the house through the public Agnipariksha selection process. Her confident, outspoken personality — and her earlier remarks questioning a fellow contestant’s selection — have already made her one of the season’s most closely watched wildcard entries.

Early Life and Background

Lakshmi Gowda hails from Mandya in Karnataka and currently lives in Bengaluru, where she works as an IT professional. According to her profile in The Times of India, she balances a full-time technology career with her interests in acting, modelling and content creation. Her exact date of birth has not been publicly disclosed, but multiple entertainment outlets report her age as 24.

Unlike most Bigg Boss contestants who arrive with film or television careers behind them, Lakshmi is essentially a “commoner” contestant — a working professional whose public profile was built entirely on social media. Reports describe her as a self-confident, mass-appeal personality: during the selection process she introduced herself as a “proper local, mass girl,” a phrase that captured the bold, unfiltered style she is now expected to bring into the house.

Career: IT, Modelling and Social Media

Before the spotlight found her, Lakshmi’s primary identity was that of a tech worker in Bengaluru. Alongside her IT job, however, she built a parallel life as a content creator. Filmibeat reported that she has around 13,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts entertaining videos — several of them featuring her brother — that showcase their sibling bond and her flair for comedy.

She has also taken early steps toward her acting ambitions by appearing in short films, as reported by The Times of India. Entering Bigg Boss Kannada 13 is, by her own account, a calculated move to reach a far bigger audience: the show is hosted by superstar Kichcha Sudeep and airs on Colors Kannada while streaming on JioHotstar, giving her exposure far beyond her social media following. The Times of India noted that she had dreamed of becoming a Bigg Boss contestant for years, making her entry the fulfilment of a long-standing goal rather than an overnight decision.

Bigg Boss Kannada 13: The Agnipariksha Journey and Wildcard Entry

Lakshmi’s route into the Bigg Boss Kannada 13 house ran through Agnipariksha, the public selection process through which members of the general public could earn a place on the show. She made a memorable entrance at the selection rounds wearing a lungi, and her strong voice and direct way of speaking reportedly impressed the selection panel, which included senior actress Shruthi. One of the selection challenges reportedly involved preparing and drinking an unpleasant juice, and Lakshmi successfully cleared the rounds against fellow aspirant Samskruthi, as reported by newspointapp.com’s republication of the Times of India coverage.

She entered the main Bigg Boss Kannada 13 house as a wildcard contestant on 11 October 2026, alongside fellow entrant Kumari, following the exits of Manjunath and Sangeetha Bhat from the show. Her entry arrived at a delicate moment: contestant Dhanush Manjunath was serving as the house captain, and Lakshmi had previously and publicly questioned Dhanush’s selection for the show — a fact reported by Moneycontrol and Pinkvilla. That history immediately positioned her as a potential disruptor of the house’s existing alliances, and viewers began watching closely for any confrontation or reconciliation between the two.

The season, hosted by Kichcha Sudeep, premiered on 6 September 2026, and wildcard contestants like Lakshmi are expected to shake up established equations as the competition moves into its later stages.

Personal Life

Lakshmi is known to share a close bond with her brother, with whom she has created several fun social media videos. Beyond that, she keeps her family life private — no details about a partner or relationship status have been verified in public reporting, and no rumours should be treated as fact. What is publicly known is that she leads a dual life: a professional IT career in Bengaluru by day and an aspiring entertainer building her audience online.

Lakshmi Gowda Net Worth 2026

There is no verifiable public figure for Lakshmi Gowda’s net worth. As a working IT professional and early-stage influencer with a modest social media following, her earnings would come primarily from her technology job, modelling assignments and brand content rather than entertainment salaries — a profile very different from established celebrity contestants. Any figures circulating online should be treated as unverified unless reported by a credible outlet.
