Malti Chahar Wiki, Age, Height, Net Worth 2026

Malti Chahar is an Indian actress, model and filmmaker who has moved between pageantry, cinema and reality television. Born on 15 November 1990 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, she is the elder sister of Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar. She first drew national attention by winning the Miss India Earth title in 2009, became a social-media sensation as the IPL’s much-discussed “mystery girl” in 2018, and stepped into the country’s biggest reality-TV spotlight in October 2025, when she entered Bigg Boss 19 — hosted by Salman Khan — as a late-season wildcard contestant.

Early Life and Education

Malti Chahar was born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, to Lokendra Singh Chahar, a retired Indian Air Force officer, and Pushpa Chahar, a homemaker, according to News18, Filmibeat and Pinkvilla. She grew up in a deeply cricketing household: her younger brother Deepak Chahar is an India international pacer, and her cousin Rahul Chahar has also played for India.

She completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Agra and graduated as a software engineer from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, per News18 and Filmibeat. Only after finishing her studies did she enter beauty pageants and, later, cinema.

Career

Chahar’s first taste of national recognition came through pageantry. In 2009 she won the Miss India Earth title, and five years later she was crowned Miss Photogenic at Femina Miss India Delhi 2014, where she also finished as a finalist in Femina Miss India 2014, according to News18 and Pinkvilla. The pageant circuit led to television advertisements and modelling assignments, and entertainment profiles also credit her with appearances in music videos.

Her biggest brush with mainstream fame before reality television arrived in 2018, during the Indian Premier League season. Spotted in the stands cheering for the Chennai Super Kings — the franchise her brother Deepak plays for — her cheerful, camera-friendly presence made her an instant social-media talking point. She was quickly dubbed the IPL’s “mystery girl”, and the tag, reported by the Indian Express and others, turned her into a recognisable face overnight.

She had already begun acting by then. Chahar made her acting debut in the short film Manicure (2017). She followed it with a role in Anil Sharma’s Genius (2018), sharing the screen with Mithun Chakraborty and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and later appeared in the romantic feature Ishq Pashmina (2022), directed by Arvind Pandey. Alongside acting, she moved behind the camera, writing and directing short films including 7 Phere: A Dream Housewife and O Maaeri, as reported by News18, Pinkvilla and Filmibeat.

October 2025 put her back in the headlines. Chahar entered the Bigg Boss 19 house as a wildcard contestant during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on 5 October 2025, with her brother Deepak Chahar joining Salman Khan on stage to introduce her, according to Moneycontrol, the Indian Express and Mint. Host Salman Khan framed her late arrival as the season’s “second powerplay”, and Mint noted she was the second wildcard of the season after Shehbaaz Badesha. Asked about joining six weeks into the game, she said — per Moneycontrol’s episode report — that it was both an advantage and a disadvantage: the housemates did not know her, but she knew all of them and their strategies.

Her entry made an immediate splash. Episode coverage reported her sizing up the house — naming Amaal Malik and Tanya Mittal as the strongest all-round players — and she was soon at the centre of the season’s drama, clashing with Tanya Mittal and featuring in a pool-based nomination task that show promos highlighted widely.

Personal Life

Chahar keeps her romantic life private, and no public reports confirm a marriage or a relationship — profiles list her as unmarried. Her closest public bond remains with her family, particularly her brother Deepak, who publicly supported her Bigg Boss entry.

Malti Chahar Net Worth 2026

There is no reliable, publicly reported estimate of Malti Chahar’s net worth. Unlike film stars whose earnings are tracked by trade media, her income streams — pageant-era modelling, television advertisements, acting fees from short and feature films, independent directing projects, brand collaborations and now reality television — have never been consolidated into a published figure by any credible outlet. Her Bigg Boss 19 stint is likely her highest-profile paid television engagement to date.
