- In May 2016, Bhat uploaded a video on social media platform Snapchat mimicking Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar and arguing who is a better player. This video is generated controversy around social media public and video is offensive and appealing to found to be hilarious and witty. On this controversy, he was filed for an FIR by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena against him. And Mumbai Police request Google and YouTube to removing this content.
- In 2017, Tanmay Bhat was also booked for FIR against him for posting meme on Snapchat of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- In October 2018, writer and comedian 22 year old Mahima Kukreja accusing YouTuber Utsav Chakraborty, who worked as freelancer in AIB of sending her women lewd messages and photos via social media. At that time, Tanmay is the CEO of All India Bakchod. So, he knew about the allegation of harassment but opted to keep quiet and work with him. On 8th October, AIB announced that Tanmay is not the CEO of AIB at current. And during the allegation he was removed with Amazon Prime Video Season of “Comicstaan”.
