Domestic

Ishan started her cricket career at the age of 7 when he was playing for the school team for the School World Cup in Aligarh. He was very passionate about Cricket. Even many times, Ishan was punished for not being serious about his studies in School.

He shifted to Jharkhand for the selection for Jharkhand Ranji Team and he got selected. In 2016, Ishan scored 273 runs against Delhi in the Ranji Trophy and he is the highest scorer player in Jharkhand Ranji Trophy.

After this, in 2017-18, he was the leading run-scorer with 484 runs in six matches for Jharkhand Ranji Trophy. Also, Ishan was the leading run scorer in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy with 405 runs in 9 matches for Jharkhand.

He got selected in India’s C team for the 2018-19 Deodhar Trophy and made a century in the tournament final. Also, Ishan scored a century against Jammu & Kashmir Sye Mushtaq Ali Trophy in February 2019.

After this match, he scored 113 runs in the next match against Manipur with not out and back-to-back centuries in the tournament with good performances. He was selected in India’s Red Team for the 2019-20 Duleep Trophy in August 2019.

After the tournament, he got selected for India’s A team for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy. In 2020-21, he scored 173 runs against Madhya Pradesh on 20th February 2021. His team total is the highest total by any team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

IPL

Ishan started his IPL career in 2016 when he was bought by the Gujarat Lions team in the 2016 IPL auction. Again, in 2018, Ishan was bought by Mumbai Indian in IPL 2018.

Ishan started his international cricket career in 2021 when he got selected in the T20 International team for the series against England. On 14th March 2021, Ishan T20 debuted for India against England and scored 56 runs.

In his debut T20 match, India won the match by seven wickets, and Kishan was selected as the man of the match. In June 2021, Kishan got selected for India’s ODI and T20 teams for their series against Sri Lanka.

He is in controversy just before the start of the Under-19 World Cup 2016. According to media reports, Ishan was arrested for reckless driving and his car had hit an autorickshaw. On the 12th of January 2016, the incident happened in Kankarbagh. Ishan’s father was also alleged of manhandling in this incident.
