NV Raman was born on 27th August 1957 (Age: 64 years; As of 2021) in Ponnavaram village of Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. His full name is Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana. His zodiac sign is Virgo. His nationality is Indian. He currently lived in Delhi with his family.
In 1975, his father asked him to move away from their home and gave him ten rupees to reside on his maternal aunt because of emergency is imposed in the country by Indira Gandhi.
Education/Qualification
He completed his schooling from local school of his village. NV Ramana joined Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and completed his graduation in B.Sc and L.Lb degree from there.

Career
NV Ramana started his career when he enrolled in BAR Association of Andhra Pradesh on 10th February 1983. Thereafter, he started practising as an advocate in High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
Some years later, he also practised in Supreme Court of Indian for more cases like civil, criminal, constitutional, labour, service, and electrical.
He was appointed as the additional Standing Counsel for Indian Government and also part of standing counsel for railways in Central Administrative Tribunal at Hyderabad.
In June 2000, he was appointed as the permanent judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court. Also in September 2013, he was appointed as the CJI of Delhi High court and became the Supreme court judge in February 2014 in Modi first government.
NV Ramana is a member of General Council of National Law School of India University, Bangalore and he is the chairman of Library Committee in Indian Law Insitute, Delhi.
