Radhika Kumaraswamy born on 11th November,1986. Radhika Kumaraswamy age is 35 years old (As in 2021). She is from Manglore, Karnataka, India. She worked as a producer and produced two Kannada films “Lucky” in 2012 and “Sweety Nanna Jodi” in 2013. Apart from this she is also appeared in Television show “Dance Dance Juniors” as a Judge (on Star Suvarna Channel).

Family, Caste & Husband

She is belonging to a high caste family in the tranquil coastal region of Tulunadu in Karanataka. Her father name is Devraj and her brother name is Raviraj who is executive producer in Indian cinema.

She was married to a person named Ratan Kumar at the Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple, Kateel on 26 November 2000. After that in April 2002, Ratan Kumar filed a complaint that her father Devraj had abducted radhika as he feared that news of her marriage may finish her career. Few days later, her mother wanted that the marriage to be annuled as Radhika was just only 14 years old and said that Ratan Kumar forced to marry her. After that her father also claimed that Ratan tried to burn Radhika alive.
But after the two years of marriage, Ratan died in August 2002, of heart attack.

Later in 2006, they married to film producer and politician H.D. Kumaraswamy and former CM of Karnataka, who is also known as a son of the former Indian Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda. Her affair during his film production career. But, they don’t reveal the marriage fact to the general public till 2010.

Both of them happy with marital relationship and also have a daughter named Shamika Kumaraswamy.

Career

At the age of 16 and when she had just completed her ninth class. Radhika started her acting career with Kannada film Neela Megha Shama in 2002.

After that she signed many films like “Ninagagi” (2002, Kannada), “Iyarkai” (2003, Tamil), and “Bhadradri Ramudu” (2004, Telugu). These films proved successful at the South cinema box office.

Her debut movie “Ninagagi” (2002) was one of the biggest hits of that year. She worked with actor Shivarajkumar in the movies like “Thavarige Baa Thangi”, (in 2002) and “Anna Thangi” (in 2005) also get a lot of appraisal by the south cinema audience. She also appeared in “Navashakthi Vaibhava” in 2008 as a goddess.

In 2004, she also won award from “Karnataka State Film Award” for the best actess role of film “Gowri” in a Kannada film “Thayi Illada thabbali” (2003). But her film like “Mane Magalu” and “Thayi Illada Thabbali” not get appraisal in the theatres.

Later, she established a production studio on the name of her daughter named Shamika Enterprises and produced the film “Lucky”. In 2013, she comeback in acting career with movie “Sweety Nanna Jodi” which she also produced.
